Since 2005 Marilyn and Dennis have added the Hakataramea Valley Conference Facility for those special groups looking for something unique and memorable occasions to highlight their experience and stay in the South Island High Country. Located in North Otago this facility is surrounded by lakes rivers and mountains and is only three hours from Christchurch, two and a half hours from Dunedin, two and a half hours from Queenstown making this a fantastic hub for a grand adventure.
Our facilities offer two houses, both in pristine condition. Also we can sleep twenty four people in our bunk house, there are ample toilets and excellent showering facilities. We have Bar with Pool table, Conference Room, modern Kitchen, great sound system to ensure a memorable stay.
On our 4.5 hectare site we offer sporting facilities which include tennis court, closed in swimming pool and ample room for Soccer and Vollyball games.
Tours to the Haka Valley can be done by 4x4s, dirt, road or adventure bikes, cross country via private High Country sheep stations treating you to fantastic hidden secrets of the high country. All tours are accompanied by guides who have great local knowledge and history of the areas traversed. Must have appropriate licence.
While staying at our venue Off Road Adventures offer 4Wheel Drive training and excursions, Quad Bike training and excursions, and can offer Dirt bikes to experienced riders. Paintball, Clay bird shooting, Jet Boating are all available by request.
Menus are fresh local produce, of course with lashings of home baking thrown in.
This fantastic venue in the Haka Valley offers opportunities to 4 Wheel Drive Clubs or individuals, Quad bike clubs or individuals, Dirt bike clubs or individuals, adventure bike riders, road bike riders, horse trekking people, fishing groups, Jet skiing, boating, shooting groups, rabbit, Tar, Wallabies, wild pigs and Deer abound.
For dirt and quad biking and 4wheel driving, you require permission from the private landowners. Marilyn and Dennis may be able to help with this.
With Off Road Adventures, tours and access to these areas will have already granted.
